Simple Thoughts on Stagger Screens
Apr 3, 2024
Here are a few ideas on using staggered screens in your offense using a basic curl, a tight curl, and a “twirl” cut.
All of these options/concepts can flow in your offense from basically any set, but you’ll find the most success in early transition or as a designed quick hitter.
Some common actions you can flow into if you don’t get the initial action on the stagger screen?
- tight curl to the rim for a post up
- reject both screens and go back door
- rescreening the first screener
- popping back to the ball and following
- flaring
- slipping
- and more
