How I Use Hypefury to Automate Content with Recurrent Posts

HypeFury has been my favorite automation product for Twitter/X that I’ve come across and I have no intention of going elsewhere.

And I also know I’m not even using most of its capabilities.

Here’s how I made the recurrent post feature work for me with my basketball brand, Hoops Companion:

I chose to automate Twitter/X over Instagram because my audience on Twitter/X was the most engaged with my content.

We’d have more conversations and debates, people would share the information, and it would draw the most people to sign up for my newsletter.

Instagram and TikTok have, in my mind, more “entertainment-based” audiences.

The basketball community that follows me wants to learn new ways to coach and play the game.

I broke my content into 6 sections: Diagrams, Video Clips, YouTube Videos, Threads, Previous Posts, and Product Promotion.

Whenever I create something new, I just add it to the proper category and let HypeFury do the rest.

Here is my flow:

  • Diagrams — Xs and Os for plays and drills. These got daily posts in the morning because that’s when people are checking their phones the most.
  • Video Clips — I took video clips from plays I saw during games that I thought coaches would like. These were offensive actions/concepts, hustle plays, and little things that I thought were important. I envisioned them as clips they could show their teams about specific basketball concepts. I post one of these a day.
  • Threads — Every Saturday around noon, I prepare a thread to be posted. Typically, this is repurposed from the newsletter post from the week. These get a good bit of engagement and send people to my newsletter (which is good for the funnel). I’ll also put together a thread of a few plays I’ve liked lately if I don’t feel the content from the newsletter is very “thread-able”.
  • YouTube Videos — I know the algorithm on Twitter/X doesn’t like links, but this was an attempt to help grow my YouTube channel (currently up to 2,700 subscribers which I’m happy about). These are a daily post.
  • Previous Post — Every Monday, I include a link to a previous newsletter post. This keeps my newsletter in potential subscribers’ minds, reminds current subscribers of past content, and drives people to the newsletter (again…funnel).
  • Product Promotion — Three nights a week, when people are in the comfort of their homes, I’ll post a product promotion tweet to send people to my Gumroad page. I sell playbooks, drill books, a coaching portfolio course, and other usable PDFs to help coaches out. Obviously, the more potential traffic there, the better.

As you can see, I have a nice mix of content flow going on right now. I have the classic diagrams, video clip of basketball plays in actual games, and links to my YouTube popping up every day. I’ll also post a random basketball thought throughout the day if it comes into my brain to have some text posts.

Using HypeFury has allowed me to have a constant flow of my content for my subscribers that also pours into the algorithm and gets in front of new eyes, future subscribers, and potential customers.

Keep the faith!
